Keep your vehicle running safely with new tire replacement. If you drive a typical number of miles, somewhere around 12,000-15,000 miles annually, a tire’s tread will wear out in three to four years depending on the style of tire and its treadwear rating. The three major factors in determining whether to keep or replace your tires are sidewall integrity, weather cracking, and of course overall tread wear. One of the easiest ways to evaluate the amount of tread remaining on your tires is the “penny test”. Simply insert a penny into your tire’s tread groove with Lincoln’s head upside down and facing you. If you can see all of Lincoln’s head, your tread depth is less than 2/32 inch and it’s time to replace your tires. |
